Watching the Olympic opening ceremony last night was awesome. One of the flag bearers was the mother of Terry Fox. We visited a monument erected in his honor last summer in Thunder Bay Ontario. Terry lost his life to cancer in 1981 but before the disease conquered him, he ran across Canada for 3,339 miles to raise money for cancer research.Saturday, February 13, 2010
