The Ice Castle
Eagle River is well known for the annual tradition of building a castle out of ice blocks. The ice is cut from a local lake and put together by our local Volunteer Fire Department. This year they used more than 2,500 blocks of ice. It is 24 feet tall.
is a mixed media artist, teacher, photographer and author who is inspired by nature. She grew up in Wisconsin with the abundance of the Nicolet National Forest surrounding her. She has adventurously dabbled in art since she could hold a crayon. Her life has been filled with an eclectic mix of artfulness. She earned her Associate of Arts degree from Nicolet College and received her Bachelor of Science degree from UW-Superior with a double major of Art and Psychology and a minor in Communication. She is passionate about enjoying each day of her life's journey to the fullest. Most recently she has been creating unique one of a kind doodles that some call "Zentangles".
